A dinosaur on a motorbike. The range was called Dinosaurs of the Chrome Age, and we can't improve on that.

1993 was a great year to be a kid with a telly. Power Rangers landed, Biker Mice from Mars arrived, Mighty Max made monsters pocket-sized, and Jurassic Park made a toy of the man who broke it. We picked 25. Did you have them?
Good luck. These are our picks for the best toys from 1993: the Rangers, the mutants and the film tie-ins you barely remember. Go through them one at a time and see how many you owned.

The film didn't set the world alight. You had the figure anyway.
Double Dragon was a game about hitting people. They gave them a vehicle as well.

A kids' toy from Aliens, a film you were not allowed to watch.

Batman, with a parachute. He did already have a cape.

Rita's winged gold henchman. He lost every week and you still wanted him.

Everybody wanted the Green Ranger. Everybody.

Zink the Horrible Hatchetman. No further questions.
Green, furious and straight out of the arcade. You did the voice as well.
It came with an umbrella. We've thought about this a lot.
A mouse in sunglasses, leading a biker gang from Mars. Zero notes.
The man who broke Jurassic Park, as a toy. Every dinosaur on this shelf is his fault.

Whatcha gonna do, brother? Put him in your pocket, apparently.
Bluebird's Polly Pocket for boys, with a whole island of dragons. Sold.
A playset shaped like a monster's head. Polly Pocket this was not.

Made of steel, built like a wardrobe, and always the second X-Man you got.

Still in charge. Still nobody's favourite.
Back in new colours for Generation 2. Still the leader, still a robot T. rex.

Back for Generation 2, with the same name. British kids still had questions.

Donatello dressed as Dracula, with a wacky wooden stake. Sure.
Leonardo in the Stone Age with a dinosaur called Dingy. Everything was fine.
A soldier named after the ozone layer. 90s toys really wanted you to recycle.
By now G.I. Joe had mutant monster Vipers. The 80s felt a long way off.

A tiny space alien in neon yellow, ready to vanish under the sofa.
A baby dinosaur in neon yellow and cyan, just like the fossil record shows.
