Captain Planet - Flying
Hook his strings onto the ring and Captain Planet looks like he's flying.

Tiger's Captain Planet toys followed the 1990 cartoon about five teenagers whose magic rings combine to summon an eco superhero, and Kenner sold the same figures across Europe. Captain Planet himself came in more versions than anyone else, from a flying figure on strings to one that shows toxic stains in water, while the Planeteers and the Eco-Villains had their own gimmicks, like Wheeler's sparks and Duke Nukem's glow. For more early 90s eco heroes, see the Toxic Crusaders.

Tiger made more versions of Captain Planet than of anyone else: a flying one on strings, an All American one, a talking one, Toxic Grime with stains that appear in water, and three late ones for The New Adventures of Captain Planet in 1994.

The Planeteers are the five teenagers Gaia gives the magic rings to: Kwame with Earth, Wheeler with Fire, Linka with Wind, Gi with Water and Ma-Ti with Heart. Several figures had action features, like Wheeler's sparking chest.

Gi, from Asia, wears the Water ring.

Kwame from Africa holds the Earth ring, and his figure came with a compass that really works.

Linka, from the Soviet Union, carries the Wind ring.

Ma-Ti, from Brazil, wears the Heart ring, the last power called when the team summons Captain Planet.

Wheeler, the Planeteer from Brooklyn with the Fire ring, sparks across his chest when you work the lever on his back.
The Eco-Villains each stand for a different way of harming the planet: Hoggish Greedly for greed, Verminous Skumm for urban decay, Duke Nukem for nuclear misuse and Dr. Blight for technology gone wrong. Captain Pollution, the evil double, is the hardest Captain Planet figure to find.

Looten Plunder's mercenary bodyguard, whose missile fires when you press his shoulder harness.
Captain Planet's polluting double, made from Dr. Blight's copied rings, and the most prized figure in the line.

A Cold War veteran who teams up with the Planeteers, not a villain, carrying a radar backpack.

Mad scientist Dr. Blight, who stands for technology out of control, came with her computer sidekick MAL.

The radioactive Eco-Villain who stands for the misuse of nuclear power, and this figure glows in the dark.

Kenner's European Duke Nukem swaps the glow for battery-powered light-up eyes.
Hoggish Greedly is the Eco-Villain who stands for greed and taking far more than his share.

Sly Sludge is the Eco-Villain of laziness and short-term thinking.

A human-sized rat from the sewers, Verminous Skumm stands for urban decay and disease.
Tiger made six Captain Planet vehicles in 1991 for heroes and villains alike, led by the Planeteers' Geo-Cruiser.
